I picked the first of my chestnuts today. I have 3 different young trees, each one acts as a pollinator for one of the others. I love the colour, the texture and shape and how they go from a tight, very prickly ball, to bursting open full of brown goodness,Just look at those lines!

Haven't had a good chestnut in years! Those certainly look good. do you roast them?
Hi Roz. I've never tried them and I'm not sure quite how to roast them - must ask a European friend!
