Look what arrived in the mail this morning. I bought it off TradeMe, a New Zealand auction site.
I think it's a little sewing box, it only measures 1.5 inches high (including the 'knob') and across. The knob looks like a mending mushroom which is why I think it's a sewing box. It's made from bakelite and is in such good condition, it must have been sitting in a china cabinet all these years. On the base it has 'German' imprinted.It's so dainty!
